Trail of Lights

About

In 1965, the Trail of Lights first appeared in Zilker Park to spark holiday spirit for the Austin community throughout December.  It has since grown into an anticipated family event, bringing merriment to people of all ages. The Trail of Lights Foundation invites the community to help present this event to the City of Austin by volunteering. From answering questions to assisting with holiday activations, you can help set the tone of this special holiday experience.

Become a Trail Guide at the 2015 Trail of Lights, December 8 through 22. As a Trail Guide, you will greet guests, answer questions, collect lost/ found items, and generally help enhance the experience for attendees. A more specific training will be sent to all selected volunteers, and you will receive an onsite training from your area lead upon arrival for your shift.

On the day of service, volunteers will receive a free cold weather hat and a meal from Rudy's Barbecue. As a token of our thanks, volunteers will also receive two complementary ZiP Fast Passes for an alternate day.

We hope you apply to be a part of the fun at Austin’s favorite holiday celebration!
